The full AMG Choir and Symphony Orchestra will join with international soloists to stage this concert work, among the most dramatic and emotive ever written.
Performed (almost) annually since 1954, the AMG choir sings a mix of classics, favourites and popular works from the vast seasonal repertoire. Suitable for children and with a well-loved visitor from the North Pole.
This exotic and highly romantic opera takes place in Ceylon, and combines oriental and western music, dance, costumes, with a timeless story of two men in love with the same woman. The best of friends, they have agreed not to pursue her, only to have her re-appear years later and re-awaken forbidden feelings.
The orchestra and choir will join in a beautiful selection of classical and popular works, and plenty of audience sing-along. Followed by dessert buffet and fun time for all.
